This blog was born out of a need to do something creative while riding out the COVID-19 pandemic. It also provided the perfect opportunity to learn how to build a custom theme from scratch in WordPress.
I considered several options for subject matter but did not find anything that truly inspired me until I discovered food photography. I want to credit my best friend’s husband for planting the seed when he told me I would do well selling soup as a side business. It led me to think about how I would go about doing it and that’s how this blog came to fruition. Food photography also allows me to take advantage of my eye for colour and design while making something that I can savour visually and viscerally.
This website, as well as all the food featured, have been made with love and I hope anyone viewing this blog will enjoy it as much as I do.

A Tim Hortons commercial for their Omelette Bites inspired me to look up recipes for how to make them. It literally is just omelette mix baked in a muffin tray. You can switch up the toppings to almost anything you fancy. Two of these bites with a cup of coffee make for the perfect breakfast and a great start to your day!
